Realism



Realism represents the subject drawn without artificiality,  supernatural elements and much more. This movement began in France after the French Revolution dated back from 1848.There work included " real and typical contemporary people and situations with truth and accuracy, and not avoiding unpleasant or sordid aspects of life." On the other hand Romantics painted with an exotic subject matter with exaggerating the subjects drama. The contrary of Realistic painters were highly against this type of work . Realist painters drew different people in many different realistic and natural scenes. The popularity of this Realistic work took a turn for the good when Photography was becoming to be  introduced to the common people. Mainly the work of Realist artists wasn't always the best as it sometimes reviled the ugly or the "sordid"
