Gustave Courbet
The well known French painter Gustave Courbet left a big impact on the realist movement back in the 19th century . his paintings were best associated to realism Courbet painted mostly figures, landscapes and seascapes. He usually used to paint from life so he used to feel and see the suffering poor people go trough. Courbet painted like this for a reason that being to "help erase social contradictions and imbalances"
